Tracing Programs with Go

Join us for a FREE lunch & learn with Bill Kennedy.

Course Description

This is a free, 1-hour event for engineers who want to learn how to evaluate a program’s performance using the Go tracer.

One of Go’s biggest strengths is its tooling. In this talk, Bill Kennedy will present a Go program that counts words in a collection of news feeds. Together we will evaluate the program’s performance using the Go tracer and live code changes in an iterative process. Also, he will talk about Go’s concurrency and garbage collection.

An intermediate understanding of the Go programming language is recommended.
